Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of BuildBot at buildbot.cloudand related services (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Accounts

You must provide accurate information when creating an account and are responsible for activity that occurs under it. You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. Keep your login credentials secure.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Break the law or infringe others’ rights using the Service.
  • Attempt to disrupt, overload, reverse engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the Service or its infrastructure.
  • Use the in-browser code environment to run malicious, abusive, or resource-exhausting code, or to attack any system.
  • Resell or redistribute course content without our permission.

Code challenges

Code you write in lessons runs in a sandbox in your own browser. You are responsible for that code. The sandbox is provided “as is” for educational purposes and should not be used to process sensitive data.

Intellectual property

The course content, lessons, branding, and software that make up the Service are owned by BuildBot and protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access the content for your own learning. You retain ownership of any original code you write.

Plans and payments

Some features may be offered for free and others through paid plans. If paid plans are introduced, applicable pricing, billing, and refund terms will be presented at the point of purchase and form part of these Terms.

Disclaimer

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that the educational content will meet your specific requirements.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, BuildBot will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data or profits, arising out of your use of the Service.

Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or to protect the Service.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict-of -law principles.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
